Robert Mueller has a serious conflict of interest that should disqualify him from serving as special counsel.
He has had a long and close relationship with someone who will surely become a pivotal witness –James Comey.
No one doubts Mueller’s sterling credentials. That is not the issue. He is imminently qualified. The problem arises in his duty to fairly and objectively evaluate the evidence he gathers.
How can Americans have confidence in the results if they know the special counsel may harbor a conspicuous bias? They cannot. The conflict inevitably discredits whatever conclusion is reached. It renders the entire investigatory exercise suspect, and it only elevates the controversy surrounding it.

Not long after Muller finds Comey truthful and DJT a liar working hand in glove with the Russian with both Pence and Ryan in full knowledge, DJT and Company will be purged in the Senate and Hillary will assume her rightful place as POTUS.

Why would Trump select someone not eligible to hold the office?
Who do you suggest that does not have some kind of relationship with Comey and/or Trump who has the experience to handle this job well?
If Trump is convicted by an Impeachment, then Pence takes over so long as he doesn’t get entangled in this mess. If for some reason both Trump and Pence were out, what would be the replacement procedure? Remember Agnew and Nixon?

Wouldn’t matter. If Trump is impeached the Dems will win a huge majority in congress and impeach the president if he doesn’t do as he’s told.

The sad thing is the most conservative guy Trump has around, Jeff Sessions is the one who screwed Trump. Both by recusing himself and by selecting his rat deputy.
Back in the W Administration, Mueller worked directly under Comey when Comey was Deputy AG and Mueller was FBI Director.

James L. Quarles III and Aaron Zebley resigned from Wilmerhale the same time as Mueller. They are assisting Mueller in this investigation.
