President Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office this month that firing the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, had relieved “great pressure” on him, according to a document summarizing the meeting.
“I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”
Mr. Trump added, “I’m not under investigation.”
The conversation, during a May 10 meeting — the day after he fired Mr. Comey — reinforces the notion that Mr. Trump dismissed him primarily because of the bureau’s investigation into possible collusion between his campaign and Russian operatives. Mr. Trump said as much in one televised interview, but the White House has offered changing justifications for the firing.
The White House document that contained Mr. Trump’s comments was based on notes taken from inside the Oval Office and has been circulated as the official account of the meeting. One official read quotations to The Times, and a second official confirmed the broad outlines of the discussion.

It seems to be when Trump and the Russians were laughing it was told as a joke.
Mispelling a word while using a mobile is not quite the same as calling someone a retart five times. I think his offense gets into hugh and series territory.
The only problem I have 4 months into Trump’s presidency is his inability to stop the leaks. That’s on him and the people he selects.
For cripes sake this “leaker” in the White House has got to be someone in the inner circle....they have to have some idea of who is doing this.

Don’t believe these Lying Leftist Media outlets that proved themselves during the 2016 campaign to be operatives of the DNC and intentional liars. They are presumed to be lying and we should presume what they publish is a lie. The presumption can only be rebutted with the outlet providing clear and convincing evidence they are not lying.
Can we please limit posting headlines from these wretched Lying Leftist outlets? We should find and post reliable sources that have already deconstructed the lie and replaced it with the truth and with a headline that says the truth. We need much more of that on FR IMO.

What if there is no human “leaker”?
What if someone in the Obama administration or Deep State really did install listening devices in the White House, and someone in the intelligence service is passing this info along to the press who are dutifully representing it as coming from “an unnamed source in the White House”?
