Gingrich: Surrender or Fight
Fox News Opinion ^ | May 18th 2017 | Newt Gingrich

Posted on 05/19/2017 6:03:23 AM PDT by Shark24

Republicans, in particular the Trump administration, are approaching a historic decision that will shape America for generations to come.

The endless hostility of the Left, exemplified by violent fascists on college campuses, thugs in the streets, determined disrupters at town hall meetings, and the dishonest elite media are all part of their efforts to defeat the reforms and changes that President Trump was elected to implement.

Establishment Republicans are totally useless. They, like their Democrat counterparts, favor big government, government control, higher taxes, more interference in our lives, and the big political contributions in exchange for favors. I, like all of you, are sick and tired of them.

Newt has his faults, no doubt, but Trump would have been so much better pulling in the Newts and Rudys from his campaign rather than Jivanka, Priebus, and all the traitors they brought into the administration.

I will simply say this:

The divisiveness, violence and extremist politics of the Democrat Party of the late 60's through the 70's set them up for defeat by Ronald Wilson Reagan in 1980. Reagan then won by a historic 49 state landslide in 1984 as the Democrats failed to learn their lesson after 1980.

Have courage my Freeper friends. Have courage.

I have to agree with you. I compare it to a fight in pro hockey, we will have to get it on to get over it.

The question is, when and does our side have the proper battle plans outlined.

For myself, I believe it will be between the rural Americans against the city people.

We've lost this gubbamint. It doesn't work for the people. Party before all else...both sides. The corruption in D.C. is breath taking. With the exception of a few, this is indeed a uniparty. Dems and Pubs alike moving forward at all cost...globalism/socialism/social engineering.

Our own gubbamint spying on innocent civilians w/o warrants or probable cause. The full weight of the gubbamint used to attack American citizens that have done nothing but voice their opinions.

Where we go from here? No clue.

Yes, this is a brilliant analysis by Newt.

He has always been a strategic thinker. This is Newt at his best.

Amazing words from Newt. This prez ain’t no quitter. It’s why he won. He will fight and fight. He will not give in. He may change his mind at times, but I see that as a strength. He needs to pick his battles very carefully. 1st battle,IMO, even before the current battle to come on healthcare, is a huge tax cut. Get it done first. It will put a fire under the senate’s ass and to help pay for the tax cut, they will then have to work on getting the 2 healthcare bills reconciled in conference.

Nixon won with 49 states in 1972. He was then taken down in the Media Coup known as Watergate.

So the IRS was, and may still be, weaponized against Conservatives and nothing happens. No outrage.

Lois Lerner skates and the head of the IRS is still employed.

It is likely Obama spied on Trump, political opponents, and likely the Supreme Court. Frankly, we don’t yet know how deep Obama’s spying goes. We do know James Rosen and Sheryl Atkinson were spied on. Ask yourself this, how did Obama have the White House lit up in the sodomy colors so soon after the SC ruling? My guess is that, as Scalia surmised, Obama spied on the SC as well as many others. Yet, no outrage and no Republican demanding concrete answers.

Hillary sells Russians our Uranium, sets up a private server, and leaks all sorts of classified information. Nothing, except “investigations”.

Hillary clearly illegally extorted money from private and international political players into the Clinton foundation in a pay-to-play scheme ...and nothing.

Bill Clinton secretly meets with the Attorney General on the tarmac during on open investigation. No outrage at this clear and illegal effort to subvert justice.

And what do we have to show for all this? Republicans keep telling us they are investigating. They keep saying this. Is there ever any finality? Any closure? Any updates? Anyone go to jail? Any justice? Ever? Nope, just keep telling the rubes back home that we’re investigating.

All we ever hear about is how Republicans agree we need to look into the Russian connection.

I have long been duped. I have been scammed. Republicans don’t want change. They say what they have to keep the rubes on the hook and then always side with the establishment and their Democrat love interests. Then comes election season and like the whoring wife they plead with the electorate to give them one more chance because they really love Conservatism.

They love the swamp.

Michael Savage says if he were Trump he would hire a hundred investigators and go after his enemies...the Sulzbergers, Bezos, Slim, Zucker etc etc and see how they hold up to legal scrutiny. They better be squeaky clean or the full force of the Justice Dept comes down on them.
Time to turn the tables.

If Trump accomplishes just a conservative SCOTUS and repeal of Barqy’s insane EOs, he will have been a great success.

Newt is spot on. I am hesitant to have him as Chief of Staff due to his huge ego but it’s clear Rinse and Spicier have to go. The GOPe have proven they have ZERO interest in supporting POTUS and it’s time to cut off their back door access to the White House.

And it is way past time that the squishes in DC get over themselves and get on board the Trump Train

They’ve proven they have no interest in getting on board. Trump needs a “war” cabinet. ASAP.

It’s the corrupt media, stupid. Conservative billionaires need to launch a new news outlet and distribute it via internet, traditional cable, etc.

He is a brilliant man.

When Newt was running in the 2012 campaign, he stated the courts were over-stepping their boundaries.

The right and left bashed him up one side and down the other. He was correct then... and he’s correct now.

I wish he was chief of staff for Trump. I have never trusted Priebus.

They won’t fight. They agree with the Democrats. They have lied to us all for decades about caring about fiscal sanity and conservative values. Most of them are just democrats who thought their chances of getting elected were better if they had an R next to their names.
And most of all, they hate Trump. Little known fact: they already surrendered. Schumer is being allowed to control the agenda in the Senate ensuring that Trump’s agenda is kneecapped. Already a done deal and happening for months.

Yep. I see this too. No POTUS can govern without his party.

Question is, how many Republicans are involved in deep state intrigue/corruption that Trump is trying to expose.

A lot more than we are willing to admit.....
