After Hollywood jackass Jimmy Kimmel was criticized for exploiting his son’s illness to push his political agenda and incorrectly insinuating that surgeries for newborns weren’t covered before Obamacare, he did a follow-up on the subject where he said, “I would like to apologize for saying that children in America should have health care. It was insensitive, it was offensive, and I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.”
Drop dead, Jimmy Kimmel, you colossal ass.
This is a great example of what may be the most annoying, dishonest thing that liberals habitually do.
Jimmy Kimmel favors a certain political policy. It’s one that has been a disaster for tens of millions of Americans, including a lot of children.
Jimmy Kimmel could have said, “Obamacare may not be perfect and it may have been sold with a lot of lies, but I believe it’s worth it for everyone else to pay more so the small percentage of the population with pre-existing conditions and no insurance can be covered.” That pitch may not be a political winner, but at least it would be an honest argument.
Instead, Kimmel is essentially arguing that ONLY people who agree with him care about the healthcare of children and the rest of us want children to die.
This sort of rhetoric has become commonplace on the Left and it’s not just dishonest, it’s evil. It’s bad for the country. It could even potentially split the country apart one day because we won’t be able to continue to live with each other. In fact, we’ve already reached the point where California’s threats to secede are being met with cries of “faster please, what can we do to help?” from millions of conservatives.
Yes, it may currently give liberals some small temporary political advantage to claim that everyone who doesn’t support gay marriage hates gays, everyone who doesn’t think rape culture exists supports rape, that everyone who doesn’t back free birth control for women hates them, everyone who wants to stop illegal immigration hates Latinos and that everyone who doesn’t want to tear down Confederate statues hates black Americans, but it also injects pure poison into our culture.
If you believe someone doesn’t want kids to have healthcare, hates gays, hates women, hates minorities and wants more rapes to happen, you will probably detest that person. However, liberals seldom consider that the reverse of this is also true. You will also probably detest people who falsely accuse you of not wanting kids to have healthcare, hating gays, hating women, hating minorities and wanting more rapes to happen. In the Palestinian territories or Syria, there might be significant numbers of people who believe many of those aforementioned beliefs. In America, there are very few. What this means is that there are large numbers of people liberals have inspired hatred towards via falsehoods and also large numbers of people who’ve grown to abhor liberals after being targeted by their lies.
Put another way, liberals are CREATING an America where it’s natural to HATE people of differing political views. Not disagree with, HATE.
My initial reaction to hearing Jimmy Kimmel’s, I would like to apologize for saying that children in America should have health care,” comment was thinking that I’d enjoy punching him in his smug face.I have no doubt that vast numbers of people that liberals dishonestly call racists, misogynists and homophobes feel exactly the same way. Of course, it’s one thing to feel that way and it’s another to actually do it or suggest others do it as many liberals do. We have left-wingers rioting in the streets to stop people they disagree with from speaking at colleges and publicly encouraging each other to physically attack Nazis, while accusing pretty much everyone who doesn’t toe the liberal line of being a Nazi.
We’ve gotten to the point where someone as inoffensive as Betsy DeVos can’t even give a commencement speech at Bethune-Cookman University without gaggles of idiots screaming and booing. If those liberals can’t even show a modicum of courtesy for Betsy DeVos at a commencement speech, how do they work with people they disagree with? How do they go to church with them? How do they date? How do they share the same space? If the answer is, “They can’t do any of those things,” then how do we ultimately share the same country?
I have a left-wing acquaintance who is still endlessly complaining about Hillary Clinton getting coverage from the very liberal mainstream media that was too negative for his taste. When I noted that Hillary may have gotten some harsh coverage at times, but Trump’s coverage was much worse, I was told in so many words that, “Yes, but Trump deserved it.” Similarly, have you noticed that liberals don’t seem to accept and respect the fact that conservatives found Obama just as loathsome as they find Trump?
It’s the liberal mentality that says, “People who disagree with us on anything are racist, sexist, homophobic and evil. Therefore, we don’t have to treat them fairly. Therefore, their concerns are irrelevant. Therefore, it’s acceptable to lie about them, take away their rights or even use the IRS or legal system to mistreat them. Therefore, they don’t matter. At all.”
I loathe liberalism, but I don’t hate liberals. I would not be okay with lying about them, preventing them from speaking at universities or attacking them because of their political views. I think a lot of liberals are deeply misguided and put their emotions above logic and the good of the country, but I don’t think most of them are evil. Unfortunately, many liberals don’t afford conservatives that same courtesy and one day, that may split the country because what brings us together as a nation is becoming smaller than the liberal hatred that is dividing us.
The quantity / level of evil libs tolerate is merely a political calculation on their part.

If children are taught to hate when young, they will hate when they are adults. I contend that many children are taught to hate when they are young, and never grow out of hating.
I believe that much of the hate being expressed against President Trump specifically, and Conservatives in general, today is a result of Marxist/Socialist/Fascist/Progressive/Islamicist adults teaching their children FRom an early age to hate specific people/idea/actions. They grow up hating.
There is, of course, hate that is bought and paid for by the likes of George Soros and hate that is inculcated by the educational establishment into the”minds full of mush” students.
I was fortunate to be brought up by parents who believed in and taught me the Golden Rule, and was never taught to hate because of some accident of birth.
HST, I can and do hate people and organizations because of their intentional words/actions/behaviors. I seek to destroy them in a peaceful, legal and honorable way - I speak and write openly of my disgust and contempt for them, and contribute to organizations who oppose them and seek to put them out of business.
So, I refer to people who subscribe to the “Progressive” mentality as “LIEberals,” because the entire body of their work is based on LIEs, and they must LIE to spread their poison among us. They seem to have the upper hand for the moment, but I am hoping that President Trump will begin to rein them in and enforce the Rule of Law upon them!

I encountered some of this hate while at work. some little guy asked me what I was spraying - I replied glyphosate for the weeds. He immediately launched into the most hate filled screaming in my ear (had he been tall enough) with multiple threats and the ever-popular ad hominums. He, who was just some tenant in one of the apartments, demanded I leave the property and wished I would die of cancer. Now some on has to pull the weeds by hand which is not effective, but a temporary solution to weeding, and in the long run ensures that the expensive apartment building will have far more weeds in its beds than ever.
I don’t feel the “liberals think with their emotions” meme is accurate. Not emotions such as caring about kids and the poor. There is a LOT of anger and hatred on the left and they easily dismiss even deaths caused by their policies. Leftism is a cancer and always was.
That has always been the plan and it has been very effective.

Somebody tried to use that argument with me, along with that Christ would disown me for not wanting to help with medical bills.
I told him that if he thought that Christ would overlook his impoverishing his children so that he could get cheaper healthcare now? He didn’t want to answer that.
We always had liberals but most people knew they were out of touch and silly. The media and Obama infected us with the idea that radical leftism is just another mainstream point of view. You already see the result as they justified violent mob attacks on the opposition and seek to shut down Free Speech.

I remember anti-conservative hate speech in one of the children’s books I bought circa 1960 from my elementary school’s Scholastic Books program. This was a children’s book for maybe fourth grade to sixth grade, and the author worked in a statement where one of the characters said something like, this family doesn’t vote for Republicans, they don’t care about us. Words to that effect. I was a grade school student at the time and my family were Republicans and I remember even at that young age wondering, why is this in my book, this has nothing to do with the story. I recognized it as political propaganda and was offended.

That is the problem, they don’t want to know the truth. One liberal nutcase actually responded to me when I told him that socialism has never worked anywhere it has been tried with, “I don’t care whether it works or not.” He literally did not care about results, only with continuing to believe that he is morally superior because he favors socialism. It really is a mental disorder and should be recognized as such.
Ayn Rand went to a lot of effort to explain that those who believe in socialism are convinced that THEY will be the ones to benefit from the efforts of their betters. They cannot seem to deal with the truth of what inevitably results from trying to live that way.
I actually don’t know who Kimmel is other than a name. That is how much attention I pay to such characters now. I know nothing about him but feel fairly certain that he is unworthy to kiss the boots of Festus Hagen.
Many of them are merely ignorant. But a lot of them are willfully ignorant for one reason or another.

If someone or something is harming you, plans on harming you or prevents good things from happening to you then it’s ok to hate them or that thing.
We teach our kids to avoid bad neighborhoods, right ? Do we teach them this to keep them away from fun times and opportunities ? No. We teach them this because the people in those neighborhoods are bad, bad people who will do and cause harm.
It’s stupid to teach otherwise. That’s not teaching. that’s exposing.

I have advanced from that state. I think most of them are evil.Ten years ago I could argue compatibly with an old liberal friend. I cannot any more and we have not spoken is some time. he has come to the opinion feeling that I have become irrational and evil because I disagree with him. He used to argue rationally and had a lot of knowledge of facts to back his arguments up and so did I and we argued then had a beer. Now any hint of disagreement and his face gets all screwed up and the hatred and disdain shines through. He will not talk about anything. If I don't agree he feels I am being wilfully obtuse because of course I know he is right and everything else is destructive.

I could have written that line myself, I really wanted to throw up when I realized that the country had been taken over by this typical southern con artist who is such a low life he would have to climb a long ladder to kiss the toes of a typical used car salesman. At least my state didn’t fall for his clown act. When he was reelected I knew that I no longer lived in the same country, it had become something much different. Someone once told me that the only good thing about Clinton was that he really did not do much. If he had had Trump’s ability to enact his agenda in spite of opposition there would not be a United States of America in any form today. His main ability is in claiming credit for what others do.
