There's a Civil War Museum in New Orleans, right around the corner from Lee Circle. The city has been trying to force it to close for decades.

Visited my grandmother in NOLA every Easter when I was a kid. I truly love the city, including it’s historical monuments, which added a layer of historical interest.

New Orleans is not what it was decades ago. I will always cherish those memories of gracious black people, perhaps there are some left. But I’ll never go back to find out. People I knew there have all moved out. You DO know why.

There has already been discussion of street renaming in New Orleans. It’s absolutely part of the plan.

If they erase the vestiges of the Confederate States of America, we’ll soon have people in this country that won’t believe slavery ever existed. It doesn’t help when blacks toss around phrases like “400 years of slavery” when in fact it was legal in this country for less than 80 years.

The “replacement Americans” from Latin America and Asia could care less about the history of slavery in this country.
