This is a resolution not a law so the Senate can go screw themselves. Since Obama just made up the rule, Trump can make up his own to counter it.

What was done was to stop debate on a resolution overturning the rule, so not much has changed. No great victory for environmentalists or Democrats either though the Fake News will try and make it appear so.

Use a Presidential Memorandum. Better than an EO because it doesn’t have to be tied to an existing law.

It’s the Power of the Pen.

Didn’t Obama do this with an EO?

New presidents can undo previous president’s EO’s. Period

If Trump did this with an EO or Presidential Mandate the Senate has no power to deny it’s implementation.

A Trump lawyer needs to get in this and force the Senate to obey the Rule of Law and declare that Trump’s decision is valid.

Or Trump just needs to make a new one that doesn’t mention Obama and his anti-progress rule and go forward from there.

How did this get to the Senate anyway?
