What you are seeing in Turkey today is much like the aftermath of the Kristallnacht in Germany, if on a more modest scale. Many of the more sensible people are being driven from their homes and positions, under threat of personal violence and persecution.
If you should wish to observe the emergence of a new fascist state, Recep Tayyip Erdogan provides a near-perfect example of how it is done. Only THIS fascist state relies on a supernatural being to give the movement legitimacy. You defy the State, you defy Allah.
