Comey is definitely among the unusual political casualties. There are so many from the Obama era that are easy to despise. But from my perspective, Comey isn’t one of them. His story is either incredibly shallow or nefariously deep — and I can’t tell.

Why do you say he is a "political casualty"? If it were just politics Trump would have already fired him. My take is he was fired for incompetence and it would not have mattered about his politics. He did too many stupid things to stay on.

I don't think it was incompetence. I think it was treason.

Comey's been actively involved in the more than just protecting Hillary... he helped Obama spy on Trump by accepting that stupid "dossier" from McCain and using it to start the "investigation" that initially was supposed to arm Obama with something to stop Trump from winning. That failed, so Obama, Comey, et al doubled down and then tried to use the Russian story to terminate Trump's presidency.

Comey should go to prison.
