Republican senators said its unclear whether their chamber will repeal all of the taxes imposed under Obamacare as they set aside the health-care bill passed by the House and prepare to write their own from scratch.
Thats hard to say right now. We just have to see, said Senate Finance Chairman Orrin Hatch, the Utah Republican whose panel oversees health-care and tax policy. Its going to be negotiated.
The uncertainty comes despite what Hatch said on the floor of the Senate in February, when he called repealing the Obamacare taxes essential, labeling them harmful to the economy....

I see what is going on here.
Remember uniparty controls house and senate. The republican leaders are uniparty and the entire democrat party is uniparty save an unknown few.
Uniparty has now decided it is time for republicans, who have done nothing, and do not want to do anything to reverse current course, because they too, of course, like how things are heading, because they are all uniparty, and it gives each “side” issues to run against the other with -
they have now decided that it is time for the republicans to lose control of the house and senate. Repubs cannot continue giving legit excuses to not do anything, it’s wearing thin, getting tiresome to hear these lame excuses and people are no longer buying it. They never intended to fix anything, and the only way to deal with the fact they won’t do anything serious and fundamental, is to lose power so they can go back to the former excuses of not being in power to make fundamental changes. It’s all they do.
So they are starting the pendulum shift back and they are going to cement their losses for 2018 by enacting Obamacare lite and keeping every bad part of it giving none of the expected relief people voted them into office to complete.
It gives the liberal socialists stuff to run on, obama, destroying hcare (tho not true), vote us in we will restore it (ie make even more “advancements” to obamacare). For the conservatives it gives them every reason to screw voting for these clowns. The moderates and undecided will pee their shorts like every election and most likely go with the way the general population flow is trending.
Maybe the GOP Senators need to go away.
get rid of the d+++ed mandates
get rid of the dam++d taxes
or get rid of Senator Hatch.
hint: a one-sentence “O-care is hereby repealed” bill...
will do the trick!
Indict McConnell under RICO, along with his wife. THAT should make the E Pubs dance.
26 million, McConnell ? How ?
Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake all voted for Rubio’s amnesty and they are all up in 2018 and must be removed from office.
We understand Orrin, money talks and bullshit walks. The people who keep you in the big bucks don't want those taxes to go away so whatever you said before is now in the bullshit bin.
US senators should remember that when the Senate in Rome became populated by old and stupid men the Republic was doomed.
Indeed.
Booby Hatch, Bwahahahahahayhahahaha ! What a Mormon dope!...
And they want us to vote more of them in.
Time for a new national party.
the good news is we know now who to primary out. :)
These swamp turds make me want to puke.
Amen!
It should be clear the only way forward is an article V convention. 23 states to go
I suggest all who voted for this President and Vice President to stand by their word....Obama care is not that complicated to rescind the entire unfixable mess.
This is one promise both President and Vice President hundreds of times during the campaign...this promise cannot be negotiated...JUST REPEAL OBAMACARE AND LET THE NEW AMERICAN MEDICALCARE FOR THE PEOPLE BEGIN!
(Getting touch with your President and Vice President). Let them know how your feel about Obamacare and the solution...let them know you are here as well as thank them for their/our successes.
Take ACTION!! The left/Obama is sending out world wide Fake News, pulling for the Republicans and this administration to FAIL! Don't let that happen.
What you said
Republican voters need to start holding grudges and getting even with these “it’s accomplished so we can’t get rid of it” nitwits.
I believe Trump (badly) mis-stepped on healthcare.
He wanted a win, in his first 100 days, and he sold out on this issue.
Whether it will be a huge issue, remains to be seen. Healthcare has become a very large scandal recently, more expensive by the day. Millions are going to be losing care soon, if things continue this way.
I am sorry but I completely disagree with you on healthcare.
Trump was right. But he appear to have sold out. It remains to be seen, but this is a huge, and growing problem.
Trump does not appear to be on the right side, any more.
