James Comey’s Testimony on Huma Abedin Forwarding Emails Was Inaccurate

Huma Abedin — Weiner’s wife and a top Clinton deputy — had made “a regular practice” of forwarding “hundreds and thousands” of Clinton messages to her husband, “some of which contain classified information.” Comey testified that Abedin had done this so that the disgraced former congressman could print them out for her boss. (Weiner’s laptop was seized after he came under criminal investigation for sex crimes, following a media report about his online relationship with a teenager.)

 

The problem: Much of what Comey said about this was inaccurate. Now the FBI is trying to figure out what to do about it.

 

FBI officials have privately acknowledged that Comey misstated what Abedin did and what the FBI investigators found. On Monday, the FBI was said to be preparing to correct the record by sending a letter to Congress later this week. But that plan now appears on hold, with the bureau undecided about what to do.

Does this refer to the statements that Comey made that probably lost Hillary the election? If so, then I would think that Trump would be grateful, even if he can’t come right out and say so.

I did read what you stated. I went back and read it again. You suggest giving Comey enough rope to hang himself. A few hours later Trump fired Comey rendering what I said and you said as “MOOT”. Trump does own Comey now. He didn’t at the time of your original post.

I think it goes deeper than that, I think it permeates some CIA ops and is the reason why he said "we cant reveal" some of the blacked out emails. I think Comey was in a pickle, forced to lie to cover up heinous CIA activities, which also acted to cover up less heinous extortion activity. Comey got bogged down in Obama's swamp and there was no escape,
