As long as a judge is in good standing, there’s no option.
He has to be removed for cause before we can ignore him.
We can appeal and demand a stay for cause. That’s the only way to get around it.
The President should also demand a hearing on the merits of whether a judge is fit to serve or not. You get a couple of judges fired, and this nonsense will stop.
There must be a way for the a complete body of judges on an appeals court to be evaluated for competency.
In some years the 9th Circuit court was overturned 80-90% of the time, in cases placed under review.
You see, there are remedies to these situations. We just don’t push for them.

Whoa Doughty I did no such thing. You have a position I disagree with, no where did I insult you. Invested in a position just means to me you have put a lot of thought into your position and are not likely to change your opinion. Neither am I. The president is no more obligated to obey an illegal order than any man in the military is, that is my position.

You certainly seem sold on the notion that a judge who is breaking the law must be obeyed, well that certainly applies to me and you but the chief law enforcement officer of the land has a little more horsepower than we do. There are many legal scholars that agree with me on this issue, many have posted here.

So why are we arguing, we agree? Those judges should have stayed their opinion themselves, they didn't, so Trump should have ignored them because an illegal order that puts the security of the people at risk is an illegal order and the black letter law is so clear even a lawyer can understand it.
I would have had more respect for Trump if he had just stopped all immigration until I determined they were no longer a risk. There is no right to immigrate to the United States and immigration can be stopped anytime the president determines it is a risk. Immigration was virtually stopped for 40 years. Thank the lovable swimmer for changing all that.
