I'm reading "One Second After' now. I put it down this weekend after the first 150 pages. It was ruining my weekend.
Believe it or not, I brought that book with me on a vacation (!) a few years ago. Talk about catching up on your reading, yikes.
But try to buck up and finish it, because there is important info in it. There are a couple of parts that will make you cry, fair warning.
Also, if you go over to Amazon, in the reviews section, you’ll find a chat-type feature. From time to time, the author of the book himself engages with people who want to discuss it, even answering questions.
I read that book. Dana1960 is right, lots of good ideas, just in case. Another set of books by A. American is a great series for understanding what shortfalls we’d have and the psychologic aspects.
And remember to buy paper copies, or put your kindle/ereader in a mylar bag. FReegards
I read “One second After” a few months ago. A very tough read.
I would rather be vaporized instantly than to go through that hell.
I remember when we had a successful ASAT weapon test. Then it disappeared. Or did it?
Of course, now we have new ASAT capabilities since long ago.
