- External errors: Verses contradicting the facts of history or science.
- Verses contradicting the earlier ‘Abrahamic’ scriptures of the Jews and Christians.
- Internal contradictions: Verses contradicting each other or the laws of logic.
The most systematic and glaring of the third category are those in which later violent verses of the Koran contradict and ‘abrogate’ (cancel and annul) earlier peaceful verses. The peaceful cancelled verses are left in the Koran, but their only purpose is for Taqiyya (holy deception) whereby Muslims quote them to gullible non-Muslims to lull them into a false sense of security. The Muslims themselves know that such early verses as ‘There is no compulsion in religion’ and ‘If you kill one person it is as if you killed the whole of humanity’ are null, void and abrogated by the later ’Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them’.’
