Rand was pretty opposed to "altruism". There is a major difference between volitional charitable giving and involuntary altruism coerced by government threat of taking life, liberty or property. Altruism has a limit. When you have given all your property, you are of no further value to the takers. They insist on your worthless life as a final act.

I've paid taxes for the last 40 years. I disagree with Trump on this one. As is my right as an American. I will agree with him when he's right, I'll disagree vehemently with him when he's not.

You're wrong on so many levels I don't know where to begin.

So let me start with your Bible quotes. As with everything in the Good Book, context is important. Is it coincidence that you left out "teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime?"

Where are we obligated to take care of those who refuse to take care of themselves? Answer: We're not.

We're only obligated to help those who cannot otherwise take care of themselves and that's a very small percentage.
