This has been building up over a decade....with opposition parties in Germany continually criticizing military deals made (it’s not just Saudi Arabia). So over the past year or two with the events going into Yemen....the German pressure got greater.
The opposition kept wanting more investigations on how the weapons would be used, and whether human rights were harmed by the German weapons.
My guess is that several of the arms companies will look toward Poland or Czech, and locate there over the next couple of years.
