Coal is obviously Earth’s densest source of energy, but one must have the means of extracting it.

Solar is only good for lighting, and other low draw uses. I have used it for 19 years up at our little ranch that is 14 miles off-grid.

On-grid solar is a bad joke!
It makes no sense at all, and never will.

I have heard that one teaspoon of Coal through combustion will heat the average house in America for 8 seconds...
through fission a teaspoon of Uranium will make enough energy to heat the average home for 8 months.
The first nuclear sub (the Nautilus) traveled over 60,000 miles on the first fueling of it's reactor.

That's energy density!
