I envision an ultimate end result being a Medicare for All single payor with the private insurors bidding on becoming claims administrators for the government for a guaranteed return with little or no risk. Actually a win for the existing insurance companies, a guaranteed profit. We all hate the thought of single payor, but apparently universal coverage is now an accepted entitlement in the American political psyche.
