Senate Republicans said Thursday they won't vote on the House-passed bill to repeal and replace Obamacare, but will write their own legislation instead.
A Senate proposal is now being developed by a 12-member working group. It will attempt to incorporate elements of the House bill, senators said, but will not take up the House bill as a starting point and change it through the amendment process.

Repost - nobody expected them to vote directly on the House Bill w/o trying to reconcile differences by writing a similar Bill and playing their political games first.

So why don’t you quit pussyfooting around and Proudly Proclaim your desire to see that ALL Federal Employees receive the Finest, Most Affordable Health Care the US has to offer, OBAMACARE.
All the Money currently wasted on these inferior high priced cadillac plans can be diverted to the Wall.
There is ONLY ONE WAY to make it happen:
Executive Orders or Legislation, the chance of CONgress doing it are the same as OJ Confessing, so I am choosing Executive Orders.
1. All waivers to the Affordable Care act are hereby repealed.
2. There shall be NO funds drawn from the treasury to pay for Health Insurance for ANY Federal Employee except Members of the Armed Services.
3. ALL Federal Employees except members of the US Armed Services, SHALL purchase their own personal and Family Health Insurance from the Affordable Care Exchange in the state they legally reside.
4. There shall be NO Medicaid Reimbursement funds allocated to any State that does not have 100% of their Public Employees enrolled in the Affordable Care Act.
And to make sure it is Bipartisan, President Trump should VETO it every Time and FORCE them to Override his Veto to Repeal this Monstrosity.
Sign these 4 orders and it will be FULLY REPEALED in Less than 30 days.

Why did they wait? Maybe so that their uniparty colleagues in the House could cast a vote that looked good while accomplishing jack spit? Just a thought.
They will create their own bill that will do nothing but add more government support for ObamaCare.
I hope and pray the House Freedom Group will reject and Trump will let ObamaCare implode on its own. (Bannon’s plan all along) Passing the house bill yesterday was nothing but a delay tactic to draw our the Dem's to further support ObamaCare and own it in the 2018 elections.

all tax related bills must originate in the house.
If the senate decides to draw up a bill from the ground up, it can’t include anything about taxes.
Since Justice Roberts ruled that a “penalty” is actually a tax, the senate has to leave it out of their bill.
We probably wont see a repeal of Obamacare in my lifetime, much less the next couple of years.
