Thanks for making us go to this clickbait website to find out which state this occurred in.

If the hero had a drink at the bar, charges inbound.
“...Arlington, Texas. Im confused - they have guns in Texas?...”
Heh, heh....you gotta be kidding? Right?
There’s enough guns to form a standing army bigger than most countries have.
What about those idiotic Laws that say your can’t Conceal Carry in an Establishment where they serve Alcohol.
If that was the case here, how many would have been Killed by the murdering Perp? We will never know, now will we?
I’m afraid you’re right Frdmlvr.
Texas? Permitted civilian shooter kills killer?
Dead to the media. End of story.
TC
Sad state of affairs.
I believe everything they tell me on FR.
Some minor corrections to the story posted.
It wasn’t a bar, so the good citizen wasn’t carrying in a bar, which would have been illegal. It was a restaurant with a large raised counter where they served a lot of alcohol.
It’s an important distinction in Texas. (Bar = red sign = no guns. Restaurant with alcohol = blue signs = guns welcome).
The reporter may have been confused because the establishment had a red sign, but the police lieutenant said that that was probably just a mistake.

As permit numbers grow, we’ll be seeing more of this. ;

Just saw this oldie but goodie... very poignant:
Texas requires that if a place makes 51% or more of it’s revenue from alcohol sales that they post a 51% sign. It is a felony for a CHL to carry in such an establishment.
See my post 14. It wasn’t a bar. It just looked like one and sold alcohol and had a red sign saying guns were prohibited. But the police are sure that that was all just a mistake on someone’s part. Because if it was really a bar, there wouldn’t have been an armed citizen there.
Besides, all you have to do, in Texas, is get 12 jurors to agree he should get convicted. Good luck!
