Agree with AL. A normal person would be happy to make lots of easy money and cavort with the world’s elites. Obama is not normal, though. He’s a Malignant Narcissist. He needs to be the center of attention. Having experienced that for eight years, it’s likely eating him alive to come down so hard and so fast.
It’s not going to get any easier. Trump has the power and the spotlight. Obama can get some attention by talking about his prospective library, but it just can’t compare to joyriding on AF1.
Obama is in for a rough few years. Given his history, he’s liable to self-medicate as a means of filling the void.
