If the Freedom Caucus backed the bill, it is as good as it can possibly be.

The show I'm listening to has read some of its features, and they do sound good.

The mandate is now an incentive, the mandatory coverage items (single men must have maternity coverage built into their policy) are removed, the mandate for (some or all?) employers to provide coverage goes (may lead to hiring and a return to more than 29 hours for some) and the pre-existing condition folks go into a separate pool (which in theory should lower the premiums for everyone else).

If (a big IF) I understood all of that right, it sounds promising. That remains to be seen. It also remains to be seen whether Yertle the Tertle can close the deal without adding back all the crap that was excised from it.

Do you believe that a person who loses their home to an act of God, say a tornado, should pay more for home owners insurance than someone who hasn’t lost their home?
