I don’t know anything about his personal tax situation, but I’m comfortable guessing that any itemized deductions he might be able to otherwise claim are long phased out because of his income levels.
And I don’t care who gives away what. Saying “they do it too” is BS on both sides of the argument, whether praising or blaming.
He did it. He’s doing it. He’s doing it to raise awareness and help people that need helping. There’s nothing wrong at all with that.
Raising awareness of what? People everyday contribute to charity and give clothes to Good Will without being praised by the multitude. I hope he at least takes his parolees to a good tailor after forcing his glad rags on ‘em.
