You didn’t “give them” the Senate and the House. The Senate and House, including the Republicans, are not on Trump’s side and are fighting him every step of the way. He might as well have a congress controlled by Democrats.Then he can tell them no, with a veto

It’s his job to decide where, when and how to fight his battles.
So far I’m pleased with what he’s done, and expecting for more victories in the near future.
He’s a president surrounded by enemies, including his own party. All things considered he’s doing very well.
