Congressional leaders have reached a deal to fund the government through the rest of the government's fiscal year, a congressional aide has confirmed to the Washington Examiner.
Republican and Democratic lawmakers agreed to a $1.070 trillion package to fund the government through September 30.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., praised the budget deal as a "good agreement for the American people" that "takes the threat of a government shutdown off the table."
"The bill ensures taxpayer dollars aren't used to fund an ineffective border wall, excludes poison pill riders, and increases investments in programs that the middle-class relies on, like medical research, education, and infrastructure,"
Schumer said in a statement. "Early on in this debate, Democrats clearly laid out our principles. At the end of the day, this is an agreement that reflects those principles."

This is pure trash. Must be vetoed. Hope and pray the President does veto.
“...just a speed bump on the road to ruin? “
That’s all it ever could be. I thank God for His merciful speed bumps.
This is a budget that lasts until Sept 30- 4 months.
The border wall construction is starting in a month or so in San Diego where they are upgrading and improving the existing junk wall now in place.
There are already plenty of funds already allocated to start the wall, but the plans are not in place so we are not ready to start building.
This current budget is an abomination but it is very short lived.
Next years budget is the important one.
We need to push on that one and start getting good, responsible leaders up to the plate to replace the existing batch of Washington scum bags of both parties who are running the country into the ground.
How about flooding Twitter he seems to enjoy that medium.
The establishment elite professional politicians in Washing ton have just once again shown us, the American people, that what we wish for, what would be good for us and for America, means absolutely nothing to them...
They don’t care about the people...They don’t care about the voters (until 2018)...
Trump can’t do much at all without help...I (and probably a lot of others) felt that he would have some republicans that would help him...No, they won’t...
I believe if things keep going, there will be some type of revolution....
When does this go to Trump’s desk?
Rush has just said that there is something in this budget that prevents using the already allocated money to begin building the wall...
It’s his job to decide where, when and how to fight his battles.
So far I’m pleased with what he’s done, and expecting for more victories in the near future.
He’s a president surrounded by enemies, including his own party. All things considered he’s doing very well.
Plagiarizing another post of mine:
The massive waste in this bill is proof that:
(1) Democrats hate our kids, who will have to pay the debts that big government liberals are racking up.
(2) The republicans in Congress are not on our side either.
President Trump needs to deliver smaller government, and he has until the end of September to do it with the 2018 budget. As the parasites who hate productive Americans take their victory lap, Team Trump needs to learn from the lefts gloating and start playing hardball.
A. Get the non-controversial 2018 appropriations bills through Congress early, so that the threat of a government shutdown is limited to areas in which we dont care.
B. Hold the line on the Wall. Either it gets funded in 2018, or the military patrols high-risk sections of our border for the next seven years. That would make the Neocons, who never saw a war they didnt like, sad. What would McCain and Graham do without a frivolous war to cheer for, if our military was spending half of their deployments keeping undocumented democrats from crossing the Mexican border?
C. Hold the line on Obamacare. Either it gets cut in 2018 or Labor/HHS/Education gets shut down.
D. Hold the line on frivolous or even nice but non-essential spending. Either PBS/NPR/NEH/NEA get eliminated in 2018 or their entire department gets shut down. The same for expansions in basic research. While I approve of real science, we are $20T in debt. We cant afford it even if it is nice.
E. Our federal budget is like an extravagant family spending on piano, violin, trombone, ballet, tap, and ballroom dance lessons for each child . . . when numerous credit cards are already maxed out. At some point, you have to eliminate nice things to be responsible. At some point, beans and rice have to become a major part of your diet, with no restaurant meals until you pay down the debt.
If I was a liberal, I’d be pissing in your faces too.
You keep voting for it America. :)

That's what I was thinking. Replace the existing junk wall to get it all started. Thanks for the confirmation.
Yes
Hellifino. But Pence came out right away and said it's a done deal.
100 days is all it took for The Donald to be assimilated into the RINO establishment...
I'm speechless!
Watch out!
We've got a bunch of Trumpbots on patrol around here who will listen to none of this and are just waiting to tell you that you're a "useless whiner".
Straighten up.
So true, the congress can impeachment Trump before he gets his full cabinet
(1) Democrats hate our kids, who will have to pay the debts that big government liberals are racking up.
(2) The republicans in Congress are not on our side either.
Here's my take on Congress now:
The Democrats have gone so far left that they are Marxist/socialists/communists at their core. The old style Kennedy, Tip O'Neill democrats are gone.
The Republicans just work for the lobbyists, K-Street, donors and other special interest groups. They are only concerned about getting reelected. They Are the deep state as they fund the bureaucratic swamp.
So, now what? Time to water the tree of liberty?
My only hopes are the following: Mitch needs to change the Senate, total nuclear option baby. Paul Ryan is boxed in and gone from power by this fall, their is a shutdown in Sept/Oct and PDJT goes for his real budget then. The swamp right now is about optics. Read Sundance’s 6 part series over @ CTH, the swamp/K-Street want none of these changes. I will trust PDJT to come up with a response to them that is art of the deal based.
President Trump: VETO THE BUDGET BILL!
