But, but, but............ Didn’t we just “learn” that we only have 10 years to get this under control? Like they said 20 years ago?

If I had any interest at all in California land, I’d spread this fear and then buy up the cheap land as liberal fools panic.

Now hold on a minute - didn’t Ted Danson tell us the oceans would be dried up by the end of the last century? Are they drying up, or rising? They need to make up their minds.

Lex Luthor COULD set off a nuclear bomb on the San Andreas fault and cause California to slid into the Pacific Ocean.

California coast ocean level could rise 10 feet in 70 years

And Republicans could get balls.

climate-driven sea-level rise that experts now predict could elevate the water in coastal areas... They always have that little disclaimer...why?
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Can't wait to be able to see the ocean from my home in Lodi.
Just think of the benefits to California of having the coastal areas under water. All of LA, SF, San Jose, and Hollywood will be gone. The state will become a conservative bastion.

Has anyone actually seen any evidence that the ocean level, world-wide, has actually risen over the past two hundred years?
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Just think of all that water going into the cracks and lubricating the faults - lots of slippage, solving the CA problem.
The story basically asks you to believe that one quarter of all the Earth’s ice will melt, since if all ice including that in people’s fridges were to melt seal level would only rise 40 feet, unlike the melt from the Ice Cap which caused sea level to rice 300-400 feet.

Doomsayers like Al Gore need to follow this example - push the scary, baseless forecast out so long that no one will remember it when the time comes. Saying the world will end in 10 years is just setting yourself up for ridicule 10 years down the line - just look at Gore.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
My knees are not buckling.
Has anyone calculated the volume of water required to raise the sea level? Has to figure in the total surface area of all the connected seas and oceans in the world.
What volume of ice and snow has to melt to raise the level that much?
I don’t know the values. If I did I would be able to do the math.
