Open primaries are the cause of RINO's and eGOP, and lead to the dilution of political party values.
Ohio is just one of those 'Open Primary' States that give us the Kaisch; other States gave us the McClains, Romneys, Bushes and Ryans of the political watered down candidates.
One of the issues that needs to be addressed is the 'open' , or 'closed' primary in each individual State before we can have candidates with strong value convictions.
