“What if President Trump shut down the Department of Education, the EPA, the Bureau of Land Management, BATFE (except for Class III approvals), foreign aid, refugee resettlement, reviews for foreign visas, and a whole bunch of other agencies that do nothing urgent (or perhaps not even useful)?”
Conservatives would be happy to keep the government shut down, while liberals would break within a few months less these departments end up with most of their FTE’s quiting, leaving thier spots to be filled by Trump’s conservative hire replacements.
The Libs will get some hand-picked judge from somewhere to tell the fed how and where to spend the money. Judges have really stepped up the illegal and unconstitutional legislating-from-the-bench lately.
