The problem is that the right doesn’t know how to create a brand to save their lives.
They will either give the network a cheesy name like “One America News”, Infowars, or “Glenn Beck TV”, fill it with too many sentimental stories instead of straight news, think that everyone in the audience is religious, put in too many commentary shows, err too much on the side of Alex Jones type presentations, put too many amateurs on-camera, or in Fox’s case, too many “hot girls” for eye candy.
Just look at European TV news openings. These are IDs and styles that make me think I’m getting a quality product.

I have no idea what the hell most of the people are saying, but I’d rather watch this.
And how about going back to some more basic news presenter styles like they had in the past?

What a concept!
Just make sure rap is banned in all forms, including commercials, and I'm all in...
Add any opinion or instructions on how to think, and I'm back all out...
They need a Bannon
“The problem is that the right doesnt know how to create a brand to save their lives.”
What do you call Fox News? They’ve been beating all the rest in the ratings for years and years. That’s no guarantee it will always be so obviously, especially if they move left.
The potential aim perhaps????? Putting the old band back together.
I think they might very well have a chance of doing so.....things have changed all the way around and the media giants continue to behave as if things are still the same...they aren’t.
That was obviously a reaction to John Edwards' "two Americas." That said, as a brand over time the connection would be lost.
Maybe we need a network called "Constitutional America News?"
This network would air the news of the day, but would always frame the stories within a Constitutional context. Explain how the courts are acting extra-constitutionally with particular stories of recent court rulings; explain how Congress is abdicating its Constitutional powers when they act or don't act in particular stories; explain how local news stories are within states rights or are federal nullification.

You’re absolutely right, they’ll do the same dumb stuff they’ve done before. Conservative radio works better because it is so much more personal. The connection with tv personalities isn’t the same. It doesn’t come off as honest and respectful to the audience. They make it worse with their little outrage of the day stories. It’s obvious they don’t really care and are just trying to hook us.
If it were up to me, they would add some weather and sports coverage, with less global warming slant and celebrity athlete trash. They are on 24 hours a day, how about playing something like a Clint Eastwood movie or some funny old sitcom in the middle of the night or on the weekends with limited commercials? It would be fun and they could report on it, call it the “Newsbreak.” Why not admit to viewers that there isn’t always something to say?
