Good grief. How about the airline showing humanity to a customer who needs 60 seconds to resolve a fleeting issue with dignity?
I have a younger relative who is worldly, successful, urbane, and probably makes more salary than all of us on this thread combined. She runs marathons and is a terrific mom.
She is also a diabetic and occasionally struggles with blood sugars that go high or low at times. When high, she drinks more and urinates more.
No need to put an achiever like that in Depends just because takeoff is very late.

Just how does that humanity work? It is against the FAA regulations to be out of your seat during taxing. The airline can incur heavy penalties for not enforcing that rule. Will the FAA give the airline a humanity waiver? Who decides if its time for humanity? The passenger or does the FA judge it based on say a distressed appearance? So any one who says I gotta take a leek gets to get up and go during taxing? Or does the plane go park and then let the passenger go?
