That would be news to my late mother. She lived here as a registered alien with a green card for over 50 years.
Fine. Then abolish the INS (or whatever it’s called now) and use that money to build the wall.
Hey, Colicchio, we do and always have. We don't welcome illegals. I guess most of your brain matter left with your hair.
Also news to me and my family, who legally entered this country in May 1977 and then naturalized as citizens a decade later.
“Well, there’s no legal way for immigrants to actually enter this country,” Colicchio said. “
This idiot really ought to get out more———and talk with the Indians and Chinese that are all over my area.
.
In this case, shut up and cook! Lol! (The chef, not you.)
I’ve never heard of this guy. I used to watch Food Network when they actually cooked. Now it’s mostly contests.
Heyt Chef, shut up and cook.
#DemsSuckBigTime
Are they as stupid as their voters?
Hey Chef, shut up and cook.
This guy is an idiot!
What in hell does he think the NATURALIZATION PROCESS is for?............Must be putting some wacky weed in his salad!..................
You can get an H1B or O-1 visa as a chef.
People I know who know this stuff say it’s about the
easiest one to get.
When illegals stream in daily (including those on tourist visas who extend their stay to forever), there is no motivation to fix the legal immigration system.
REAL, HONEST “COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM”:
1. Build the wall. Shut down our borders against illegals.
2. Get addresses for the full stays of everyone entering on tourist (and student, work study) visas (you know, like everyone else in the world does) AND FOLLOW UP to make sure they don’t cancel their return flights, check addresses, arrest those harboring fugitives, arrest people who overstay. FOLLOW THE F UP. Other countries do it. Force the states to do their part.
3. Charge employers $2000 a day per person for hiring illegals for anything, including gardeners and nannies. Have teams in every city going around to collect the fines on the spot. IF YA WANNA SEE SELF DEPORTATIONS, TRY THIS.
4. Work together a system where the world’s people can electronically request to immigrate legally into the USA. There should be a form which has the responses electronically weighted (and the weights can be changed according to our situation). The applications that pass level one go then to the local embassy, where they can invite people in for short, determinative interviews. Intel is gathered and some people pass to stage three. These people become available to sponsoring companies who offer appropriate jobs (or family members in the USA who will support them if unable to work).
So did my mother's father, through Ellis Island. I'm told that his aunt was refused entry because she had an eye infection and was returned to the boat, to go back to the port of origination.
What was that again about immigration being a lot easier, you idiot?
Me too. I also immigrated here in 1977.
The truth is these that these restaurants don’t want to pay the prevailing wage they’d have to agree to on a legal visa, so they prefer to hire illegals.
Bloomberg on Sanctuary Cities: The Law Is the Law

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg dismissed sanctuary cities on Tuesday, saying that those who oppose federal immigration laws should try to change them in legislatures.
“Morning Joe” panelist Steve Rattner asked Bloomberg for his take on the cities that refuse to cooperate with federal officials on detaining and deporting illegal immigrants.
“You cannot, Steve, have everybody deciding which laws they should obey,” Bloomberg said. “The law is the law.”
