Another doctor Fakhruddin Attar and his wife Farida have also been charged in relation to the mutilation
Dr Nagarwala allegedly carried out the procedures at Dr Attar's private clinic
She denies any wrongdoing and claims she was performing a religious practice for families in a Muslim sect Authorities claim the trio have been part of a female genital mutilation scheme since 2005
Two doctors and a woman have been indicted by a grand jury over the alleged brutal genital mutilation of two seven-year-old girls from Minnesota.
Detroit-based doctors Jumana Nagarwala and Fakhruddin Attar, as well as Attar's wife Farida, have been charged with female genital mutilation and conspiracy. The two doctors are also charged with making false statements to investigators.
Dr Nagarwala, 44, is accused of performing genital mutilation on the two young girls at a private Livonia clinic in Michigan after hours in February. The Burhani Medical Clinic is owned by Dr Attar.

This ‘Islamic scholar’ issued a 2006 ‘fatwa’ (an authoritative Islamic law ruling), saying that Islam sanctioned genital mutilation b/c sexual enjoyment is ‘better for the husband' when performed on a mutilated female.
Dr Elgahaly acknowledged that ‘the majority of the scholars regard it allowable and some Muslims consider it wajib (obligatory)........’ but advised that because FGM is illegal in the West, it should not be performed.”
And yet it is being performed....just recently in the US...apparently without American parents' knowledge or consent. A Somali doctor performed the mutilation on American children brought into the hospital's emergency room for other emergency care.

Poor little girls. Do they even use anesthesia? They are scarred for life, deprived of a normal romantic life, but hopefully they didn’t undergo excruciating pain.

On the other hand, the queer brigades higher similar doctors to perform genital mutilation on them and it is completely normal and called gender transformation, not mutilation.
