The United States will not lift sanctions on Russia until President Vladimir Putin hands Crimea back to Ukraine, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said late Sunday.
During a phone call with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Tillerson said the sanctions—which have crippled Russia’s economy and pushed down the value of the ruble—will “ remain in place until Russia returns control of the Crimean peninsula to Ukraine.”
He also said that Moscow must honor the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine that was outlined in the Minsk agreements, according to a State Department official.

I guess the putin lovers don’t know much putin is in bed with the Moslem Ramzan Kadyrov. They worship putin and ignore his megalomania in the false belief that he’s all there is that can save civilization from the Moslem horde.

That sounds unwise of Putin. Islam given its own will would become the tail wagging the dog.

This does look like trouble. If Islam manages to slyly insinuate its way into Russia, Islam will control the Bomb on a scale it has never had before.
I hope Trump warns Putin about the risk. There’s no way we can take over Russia. Putin sees the light or else Russia gets smothered in the dark.

Being a better friend to Russia than Islam is, would sound like a wise move on Trump’s part.
Substitute jihadism for the early stages of Hitlerian Nazism and it looks uncomfortably similar.
If Putin just wants to be a macho power freak, he is going to be a sitting duck for being seduced by Islam. The whole world would suffer.
Putin needs to lose the “nominal” from Christian.

If you want to get historical about it, the Romans ruled Crimea from around 15 BC until the 3rd Century sometime. After falling, successively, to the Goths, Huns and Khazars over the next few hundred years, it became split between Kiev and the Byzantines. The Mongols occupied large chunks in the 13th Century. The Genoese and Venetians also occupied areas. The Tatars conquered most of the Crimea in the 1400s and ruled it as a tributary state to the Ottomans. In 1783, the Ottomans ceded it to Russia after the Russo-Turkish War.
I say it goes back to the Mongols. Or maybe the Genoese.
It’s a totally different story inside Russia when it comes to Islam and Putin.
Putin is a big friend of Islam.
