In a letter dated April 21 and addressed to the Armenian National Committee of America Western Region (ANCA-WR), Wyoming Governor Matthew H. Mead has recognized the Armenian Genocide and praised the work of Armenian American grassroots.
The atrocities of both the Armenian and Jewish Holocausts were unimaginable, reads Governor Meads letter, but it is important for all to rememberhistory must not repeat itself.

I congratulate the Governor for his courageous stance on this moral issue amid lavish anti-Armenian lobbying in Wyoming, which has included all-inclusive junkets to the dictatorship of Azerbaijan by legislators across our nation, who should know better than hobnobbing with bloody dictators that behead Christian Armenians and destroy ancient Armenian churches and Djulfa cross-stones, remarked Wyoming State Senator Anthony Bouchard.
The Armenian Genocide is an unpunished crime that needs to be recognized and accounted for; Turkeys ongoing denial of this grave crime, illegal blockade of Armenia and support for Azerbaijans genocidal policies against Armenia and Artsakh must end,

I would not think this came within the purview of the state governments. Don’t they have enough to do already?
So Wyoming wants to single handedly offend Turkey, eh? I knew they were all racists
ON THIS DAY IN TURKISH HISTORY
The Armenian Genocide Began
On April 24, 1915 the Muslim Turks commenced the genocide of 1.5 million Christian Armenians.
The victims died in mass burnings and by drowning, torture, gas, poison, disease and starvation.
Children were loaded into boats, taken out to sea and thrown overboard.
Rape, too, was frequently reported.

Well, I see Minnesota and Indiana aren’t on the list.
Minnesota is on the list but not Indiana and California
Turkey doesnt. And that is what counts. BTW..the ones who started it all were the YOUNG TURKS. Sound familiar?
What Turkey did at the state level against Christian Armenians, Assyrians , and Greeks in the early 20th century is a barbarism.
Many countries have recognized the Armenian Genocide: Uruguay is the first country that acknowledged the Genocide in 1965. The following countries have condemned and recognized the massacre of Armenians as a genocide based on international law: France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Greece, Slovakia, Cyprus, Lebanon, Uruguay, Argentina (2 laws, 5 resolutions), Venezuela, Chile, Bolivia, Canada, Vatican, Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, Australia’s state of New South Wales, 45 US states.

The picture of naked Armenian women being crucified is a picture I will never forget. I don’t think any picture I have seen has ever had more of an effect on me.
I found a map on Wikipedia that shows all of the states as recognizing the Armenian genocide except for Iowa, Indiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Wyoming. The map was dated 2015. It shows California in green as one of the states which recognize the genocide. California has a large Armenian population and has had an Armenian-American as governor.
How many states recognize the communists genocide?
