As most people on Capitol Hill downplay the possibility of a government shutdown, one House Democrat said Monday that its a very real possibility. I think its a much more realistic possibility than people recognize, Rep. Brendan Boyle said on Fox Business. The Pennsylvania Democrat said there are real challenges for Republicans in getting their caucus together on the issues necessary to pass the spending bill before Friday at midnight. The White Houses request for funding towards the border wall could be a hangup for congressional members of both parties if it is in the bill.

I want a shut down. Trump could then have greater control over spending and costs could be reduced.
Shut
It
Down
PLEASE shut down the government. I don’t care who I have to thank.
Do it “Looser”...
PLEASE shut it down until the DC employees are howling to re-open and Dems are begging for a bill to fund the wall, etc.
Bring it on. Will provide perfect opportunity for Trump to break out his cutting scalpel. And start unloading dead waste.
Let’s see: When the Democrats win elections they control Congress and when the Republicans win elections the Democrats STILL control Congress.
Why bother with a Republican Congress if the damned Democrats are still calling the shots?
Its a SCHUMER SHUTDOWN!
Don’t let anybody blame Trump!
Both parties are opposed to the wall and stopping the Cheap Labor Express.
Build the wall, repeal 0bamaCare or shut it down and go home!
Playing “chicken” with Trump is a really really bad idea.
But, the Democrats are like little children. The only way they learn is by burning their hands on the hot stove.
Excellent...and don’t retro - pay the fed slackers, giving them paid vacations. This is always done. Shut it down.
BTW - this nitwit is my congresscritter.
And if it happens, the damn Pubbies had better be making the Dems OWN it.
No one has yet to demonstrate to me ANY downside to a government shutdown. Pull the plug and let ‘em stew in their own juices.
That’s what I was thinking, our new OMB guy is probably going to handle this quite differently than just paid days off for two million people.
Good.
Its foolish to think that Schumer & Pelosi care one iota about federal employees and what they need and think when compared to the Rat agenda.
They’ll use the “plight” of the federal worker for “visuals” to make their case. But they’ll break this “supposed supporter” if need be.
Shutdown is a pretty weak button to push. If you are going to use it the Trump administration had better have figured out the proper legislative strategy & media strategy to blitz Congress & the air waves with.
I bet they do! (Well I hope so!)
“Both parties are opposed to the wall and stopping the Cheap Labor Express.”
Winner.
The difference is that Republicans are terrified they will have to be on record in opposition. Terrified.
If they put a bill up that funds the wall their funding will dry up completely. If they refuse to fund and Trump calls them on it, they lose their job anyway.
They find themselves between a rock and a hard place of their own making. It’s 20 years of lies they have to pay for.
