Yup, every time I buy a candy bar, I write the maker to tell them I want it smaller...said no one, ever!
When meddling affects the company’s bottom line, shareholders get nervous. This is a horrible idea.
No. No more white privilege chocolate.
“They’re increasing the wax content?”
Is that even possible?I gave up on them years ago for that very reason.I just buy my chocolate at Aldis, all imported from Europe.
That was a disaster!
Traslation... They are going to make them smaller and probably not lower the price.
“Give me less chocolate, and make it crappier.” Said nobody ever.
they’ve been shrinking the chocolate bars for many years...I remember when a “king” or “giant” bar...the largest ones they made, other than there huge gift bar.. 7-8 oz..were on sale for $1....now, their “king” bar is 4oz and rarely do you see it less than $1.50.
Hershey's has been borderline inedible for decades, anyway.
For years, Hershey didn’t change the prices of their various bars, but rather did “adjust the size” to maintain profits when they had raw material cost fluctuations. Now they are “selling the idea” that they are just being “health conscious!”
Actually dark chocolate does have health benefits, but moderation is the key.
I believe your take on the situation is the correct one.
For most, Chocolate is a treat. Not something you sit down and eat as much as you can in one setting. In this case calories are the last thing you worry about.
Hersey chocolates will become the Thunderbird for chocolate addicts.
We now have the makings of a great social experiment (provided that Cadbury makes no changes, in the meantime). If we can ascribe any shifting in market share to Hershey’s changes; then we (and corporate boards, and lawmakers) will know the dollar cost of such changes.
After I posted #1 to you, Drudge’s page is now filled with three HUGE photos of See’s Candy! :-D
Hey Hershey, the Food Queen and any possible successors were sent into retirement last November 8th.
I really dislike that “delight our customers” verbiage.
I like plain old Hershey’s chocolate...other chocolate has a different taste that I don’t like...I guess you grow to like what you grew up with...
Lol, it’s ridiculous isn’t it? Buy a king size bar and then request a smaller bar.
Nice.
Isn’t Hershey chocolate made in messyco now?
