If we can get both California and New England to secede and form independent (socialist) countries that would relieve the political pressure and avert war. There is no alternative except butchery.
It all depends on whom the government sides with. I would never put my money on their siding with the good guys.
Not everyone in California is liberal and in Maine where I live, and where we apportion our electoral votes, the 2nd congressional district....80% of the state...went for Trump.
