re: 46 - this one has escalated from “shoot them all” to “we can’t shoot them all” very rapidly. That tends to be a watershed in street demonstrations. Those boys in the riot helmets look a little lonely at the moment.
Absolutely....their forces are just not enough to keep things level.....and Im not so sure Maduro’s ary is willing to step in if this continue...the people cannot dispose him without the army backing them..
What’s very interesting is this has the hallmarks of the Egyptian Revolution when they outed the Muslim Brotherhood Dictator Morsey....There were several of us here on FR covering that before the news did...and throughout. So we’ll see.....
A discussion topic from Who is John Galt?: A Navigational Guide to Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, Part III, Chapter VIII:
In the absence of people's ability to affect government policy, they resort to "politics by other means," i.e., assassination, insurrection, secession and civil war... Vainglorious chest-beating aside, how can the people resist a government with modern armed forces, weapons of mass destruction, drones, and the will to use them against its own citizens?
Anyway, it appears that the government will eventually squash the protests... seems they're arresting them by the boatload, and looters and thugs are making it hard for the everyday people to get behind any sort of organized movement.
Pretty sad... I feel for the people there.
...Danny Glover and Sean Penn eerily silent on the anarchy now happening in Venezuela....they are Mudaro’s buddies.
