I think the SK were examining the cost to reunite the two German halves and realize this is going to like swallowing a third world country. Look for a long period under SC military governors before any political integration takes place. The swarm of refugees into SK would be enormous as well.

Have you talked to any South Koreans? I have. They are a responsible and honorable people. They want to reunite because it is what they should do. They also see opportunity and resolution.
Oh, and things are sure economically sucking in Germany.
