You can be sure that the decision was entirely money-driven!
If there was no money involved, was the baby “killed” to get the organs? Was it really disabled?
Note the bias in the headline - HARVEST. Sounds cruel, when in fact DONATE would have been closer to the truth about what these parents did.
Exactly - the choice was abortion or natural death. It’s a no-brainer!
Death by surgery?
Did you even read it?
I recently read an article, on FR if I recall about a child in the UK who had no brain but he survived and one eventually grew- is that the same condition?
His parents were nearly forced to abort, but they stood fast.
I thank Jesus that our children were healthy and normal- same for Grandchildren. God probably knows my limits better than I and is kind and gracious to guys like me.
I feel for the family.
I doubt the headline tells the entire story. Secularists will emphasize the organ donation as if that is the only reason she carried the baby to term. Perhaps that is true; perhaps is it only half the story.
OTOH, if the parents are good Christians, would they cuddle the baby and name her and take pictures with their little son = if their only motive was to donate her organs?
Perhaps they will have her baptized before her natural death.
Perhaps they got no money from the organ harvesting in this case. How long did the child live?
Oh man...will people such as yourself PLEASE read the article and do the tiniest bit of research before being so damned cruel?
While still in her mother's uterus, the baby was diagnosed with anencephaly. This is a severe and fatal birth defect. Medically: a neural tube defect (NTD) occurs when the cephalic (head) end of the neural tube fails to close, usually between the 23rd and 26th days of pregnancy, resulting in the absence of a major portion of the brain, skull, and scalp.
The fetus only survived in the womb because her mother's body did the work for two of them. With very few exceptions, newborn infants with this disorder do not survive longer than a few hours after birth. I do not mean to be gruesome, but maybe a picture will make the point. (Posting a link instead of the photo in deference to people who do not want to see medically graphic images.)
This is a photo of an anencephalic fetus.
Why do people with your point of view assume the Good Lord did not give this tragic infant to these parents to save the life of another child? The Lord works in mysterious ways, you know.
A baby boy was born who, in my limited judgment as a layman, had a similar condition in that he was born with only a small portion of his brain.
*********************************************
I remember that story. The media kept saying he was born with only 2% of a brain, but that was not really true. He had 2% of his brain function, but he was only missing the back quarter of his brain due to spina bifida.
It really is a big difference to be missing all of your brain.
Those “choices” presume a certain outcome. I believe in God, so I’d let the child be born, then God would decide, not me. Very often men (doctors) are wrong or the Lord simply makes other arrangements and the child lives. Many miracles follow on the heels of the arrogant presumptions of men. If the child dies, that is the Lord’s decision. The real decision is whether or not one should make the decision or step back and allow the Lord His sovereignty.
And some other little souls will get to live...
Words fail me here.
Sounds like the definition of evil to me ...

Here’s the story I referred to- not the same condition but amazing nonetheless.
Organ harvesting? This is no different than you listing organ donor on your DL. They didn’t make a baby just for some organs. Did you not even read the article you posted?
.
Organ harvesting is the biggest moral sewer that exists today.
.
This was a mother who made a choice to have her child’s death have meaning and give life
Balderdash!
