After Wednesday's announcement that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to Fox News Channel, here's what their primetime lineup will look like in the upcoming future:
5 PM/ET A new show, hosted by Eric Bolling, will debut on May 1st. From April 24th-28th, Special Report with Bret Baier will air from 5 to 7 p.m.
7 PM/ET "The Story with Martha MacCallum" will debut on Monday, May 1st. Until then, MacCallum will continue anchoring "The First 100 Days" through April 28th.
8 PM/ET "Tucker Carlson Tonight"
9 PM/ET - "The Five" (LIVE) with co-hosts Kimberly Guilfoyle, Dana Perino, Bob Beckel, Greg Gutfeld, Jesse Watters and Juan Williams.
10 PM/ET "Hannity"
Tucker Carlson will move to the 8 p.m. slot, and "The Five" will move to the 9 p.m. slot formerly occupied by Tucker Carlson. Jesse Watters also joins "The Five" as a co-host.
After Red-eye got canned, I have NO reason to watch fnc.
Bob Beckel, Juan Williams, and Dana Perino make the show really hard to watch, for me. It’s a great idea for a show, it’s just got the wrong people on it.
Ditto
I’d like to see Harris Faulkner given a greater role too. She’s smart, well prepared and seems like a genuine nice person. Not some star climbing, blonde back stabbing bee-atch.
MacCallum is boring.
Tucker started strong, but I’ve grown tired of his giggling and interruptions. In the latter regard, he’s as bad as O’Reilly.
Excruciatingly!
“trying to attract new, younger talent (including female and minority talent)”
How ‘bout Wanda Sykes, she covers both?/sarc
Typical conservatives, and I’m no exception: blasting the only media allies we have because they aren’t quite pure enough.
Rachel Maddow is pissing herself with glee.
She has been increasing her prime time audience but there was no way she could come close to Bill O’Reilly. Here’s her chance in the 9pm slot.
Fox is void of prime time talent right now. Hannity(insufferable) is the only one left of the untouchable talent pool Fox (Roger Ailes) once had.
Let’s see how this works. I bet not as well!
So no network is going to talk about things that the average American is interested in i.e. the border, taxes, massive immigrating, off shoring and entitlements. The Trump agenda will be snuffed out. The Establishment wins.
The only way to beat the Establishment is to terminate them in a Civil War.
Good analysis. The only one left in primetime is Hannity that could help Trump. Pubbies are trying to lose they want to lose and Trump is trying to win. It’s very obvious.
Sharyl Attkisson would bring legitimacy back to Fox News. As in, actual journalism. Fox is the WORST at actually covering news.
The only reason it had an audience in the first place is because it wasn’t one of the drive-bys.
It was never because they were good, and that’s including Kelly and O’Reilly.
Attkisson is actually good at what she does.
As for commentary, I’d love to see Yiannopolous get a job at Fox.
I am so glad Megan is gone. We would never hear or see the end of her gloating.
So who got screwed:
1. Everyone on the new Five which will be so late no one will watch it.
2. Eric Bolling because his solo show will be at 5 P.M.
3. Tucker Carlson because his show will be move up an hour.
4. Hannity because his show will be moved back an hour.
5. Bret Baer because he will have to do double duty until May 1.
Did anyone win? Martha McCallum will remain in her slot. She has a decent show.
And the big winner is Bill O’Reilly who will be free to punch people in the mouth in the halls of Fox News on his way out of the building. He will also be free to write and hawk his new book “Killing Fox News”.
Trish Reagan is one of the best interviewers. She takes no prisoners and puts up with no guff!
