Kucinich’s very public efforts included trying to broker negotiations between the administration and the Qaddafi regime, to whom the White House was turning a deaf ear. It was in that context that he took a call in his Washington office from Saif al-Islam Qaddafi, the ruler’s son and confidant. Four years later, as he recalled in a recent opinion piece, Kucinich learned that the call had been recorded and leaked to the Washington Times. The former lawmaker believes the monitoring of his communication and the subsequent leak are the work of American intelligence agents....

So was/are there anyone that Obama's deepstate thugs didn't spy on?

I think we're going to find out that Obama was using NSA resources to spy on all political enemies as far back as 2009!

The spying around the Iran nuclear deal is maybe even scarier than the Trump stuff.

In theory Obama may have viewed him as a potential 2012 primary challenger from the left...

I just don’t see any way the Trump DOJ can avoid dozens of prosecutions, both of Intel/LEO agency employees and former members of the Obama administration.

There are also likely current members of Congress at risk.

It’s the worst political corruption scandal in American history too.

The Obama espionage scandal now dates to at least as early as 2011, it’s only a matter of time before revelations of FBI/CIA/NSA spying on the Romney campaign.

Or maybe more? Senatorial campaigns? House campaigns even? Governors? More?

Bob Menendez was also likely a target of Barack Milhous Obama’s goon spy squad.

I find it hard to believe that no laws were broken here.

I’m sure this is perhaps the most egregious abuse of government power we’ve witnessed in our nations history.

Yet, we know the media won’t mention this, at least 98% of the media.

So where does that leave us? Only Trump can unmask the unmaskers and have his justice department investigate.

Kucinich apparently got in trouble for opposing Obama's and Hillary's efforts to remove Qaddafi. I certainly didn't like Qaddafi, but was it too much to ask for Hillary to figure out who would replace him? Or maybe Hillary and Obama think slavery/murder is no big deal as long as the deep state gets what it wants?

When Andrew McCarthy speaks it is well to heed his words for he is a man who marshals his facts, accurately cites the law, rigorously applies the law to those facts and tempers his conclusions with prudence.

Andrew McCarthy is a reliable source for relevant facts and law. In this instance he has once again moved our understanding of the Obama years intrusions into our civil liberties to a new level.

His counsel would have been invaluable to the administration before it made its initial claims of wiretapping in the Tower.

On the other hand, Kucinich recounts that the recording is very clear on both ends (one might expect a Libyan recording would be distinctly clearer on the Libyan end).

This makes no sense.

By this logic a NSA-made recording would be more clear on the U.S. end.

The chances are 100% that Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign was being wiretapped and monitored by 0bama's government.

Smith continues:

“At some point, the administration weaponized the NSA’s legitimate monitoring of communications of foreign officials to stay one step ahead of domestic political opponents,” says a pro-Israel political operative who was deeply involved in the day-to-day fight over the Iran Deal.

“The NSA’s collections of foreigners became a means of gathering real-time intelligence on Americans engaged in perfectly legitimate political activism — activism, due to the nature of the issue, that naturally involved conversations with foreigners.

We began to notice the White House was responding immediately, sometimes within 24 hours, to specific conversations we were having. At first, we thought it was a coincidence being amplified by our own paranoia. After a while, it simply became our working assumption that we were being spied on.

This is what systematic abuse of foreign-intelligence collection for domestic political purposes looks like:

Intelligence collected on Americans, lawmakers, and figures in the pro-Israel community was fed back to the Obama White House as part of its political operations. The administration got the drop on its opponents by using classified information, which it then used to draw up its own game plan to block and freeze those on the other side.

And — with the help of certain journalists whose stories (and thus careers) depend on high-level access — terrorize them. Once you understand how this may have worked, it becomes easier to comprehend why and how we keep being fed daily treats of Trump’s nefarious Russia ties.

The issue this time isn't’t Israel, but Russia, yet the basic contours may very well be the same.

..........................

If we can combine the Israeli spying for political benefit with the Kucinich/Sharyll Atkisson hits and the gross abuses perpetrated on candidate Trump adm. we should have enough for a legitimate prosecution of the thugocracy.
