“the cases did not just pop up on the DOJ radar on January 20th.”

“While it is right to applaud the cases, Breitbart is falling into one of the major errors of western journalism. That error is to attribute every event as something happening “under president x...........x”. It is used, wrongly, to promote both positive or negatives attitudes about a president - depending on the president and the news venue - regardless of the facts that (a) they likely had little to nothing to do with it and (b) most often were merely the White House occupant at the time.”

It is impossible to believe that there was literally zero Female Genital Mutilations during the Obama presidency. The Obama administration simply covered it up and refused to prosecute. The media covered it up too.

The Trump administration has shown that it will prosecute those who engage in this barbaric practice.

The investigations began before Trump took office.

From a hypertext link in the article details facts about it in the US in prior years. For Example:

“The 2016 study says that roughly 17,000 American girls in Minnesota aged under 18, plus 27,000 adult women, are “potentially at risk for FGM/C.””

the link below is an archive listing countries that allow it, so it is for reference.

The link below is from DHS saying it is against the law with links to various pdf files - again for reference.
