Rage will make you overstep God’s will every single time.
We don’t live in an ideal society anywhere in the world. And there are many sub-societies. One of those is prison. In prison, there is still a community of sorts, with very low standards. Jeffrey Dahmer did not meet those standards. He was a serial killer who ate parts of his victims, and preserved parts for later use. Prison society came to a consensus. He was unfit to dwell in even that society. The date of his execution was set. The screws agreed to be absent, answering pre-arranged disturbance somewhere. The inmates agreed to do it fast and anonymously. He was found dead. Nobody snitched.
The same could, and imho should, be done with Mr. shove-six-year-old’s-corpse-in-garbage-can-and-put-it-out-for-collection.
His non-confession matched the Police detectives’ earlier investigation, corroborating timeline and forensic finds. The case was presented for trial, and he was convicted. What non-prison society failed to do, which is sentence him to death, prison society owes it to itself to correct for its own sake, to keep the Rec Room reserved for respectable extortionists, pimps and meth cookers, and rapists who don’t go for six-year-olds and then kill them.
That, anyway, is how I see it.
