Oh blow it out your ear...you supercilious prig...you who condemn others, but are damned by your own words and posts.

I replied to some who had erroneous claimed that Columbia "had always been a COMMIE college", which is patently ridiculous, since it was founded over 250 years ago and I supplied FACTUAL information to disprove his calumny.

You're staking me now, I see. Well, more fool you, is all I can say.

You and your idiotic posts make FR look worse than DU; you noseeum!

Columbia U., nee Kings College, started in the colonial era. Alexander Hamilton was one of its earliest graduates - hardly a commie unless one thinks it actually was the first treasury secretary who lectured Mike Pence from a B’way stage. Considering the comments here, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what some freepers think.

My father, during the depression, was educated by unemployed Columbia professors and graduates who could not find any job but teaching at grade and high school level. He was hardly inveigled into communist ideology. Columbia had a left turn during the tumultuous 60s with the free speech movement.

Most of the radical students of the 1930s went through the CUNY system because they were often Jews who were banned from Ivy league universities.
