I have mixed feelings about not posting their articles. I think it is important to know what they are saying, since so many do think they are real. Posting them here where people can post the problems/lies with the article allows many to see it broken down. Later when an uniformed person or crazy lib tries to use that info for talking points many people already know the truth.
I have seen some things posted here that probably don’t need to be, but it is good to know what the other side is being told...even some on our side that don’t realize they cannot count on the MSM to be truthful. I know some good folks that know they lie and still get suckered in by some of their propaganda so it is helpful to see it here first with the followup discussion.
Generally, it is harmful IMO to post the unedited headline and article from a lying leftist media outlet.
Why not post your own article under Bloggers & Personal with a truthful headline about the lie? Or why not find a reliable source that tells the truth and exposes the lie? Either way is much more effective IMO than merely posting the lying source unedited.
You neutralize the lie by speaking the truth. Lies aren’t defeated by repeating the lie. Lies are defeated by repeating the truth. A lot of people will read the headline and the first few lines and assume it is true because it is posted on FR. Many have jobs and families and are too busy to research every one of the thousands of articles that get posted here.
We should be a site that repeats the truth not the lies. Some have said they thought FR was a Leftist site because of the leftist articles that are posted. I think we can do better than that.
If our mission is to tell the truth and expose the lie, the best way is to TELL THE TRUTH from a truthful source, and, in the headline or text of the article, also EXPOSE THE LIE.
