They already reinstated the death penalty and executed a fairly large number of military officers on a bridge by beheading them.

The Referendum extended and expanded Erdogan’s super powers in the name of a crisis. (the fau coup)

The death penalty had been eliminated a short time ago as a step in being admitted into the EU.

The prognosis from here is not good.
