The perp says on the video that he wants his girlfriend / ex girlfriend(?) to feel guilty for the deaths of the people he is killing.

The Cleveland Police Chief was clueless in spite of surely having seen the vid:

No, Chief, this is an insanely evil, manipulative person who is willing to murder in cold blood an innocent old guy as part of his attempt to manipulate his ex into feeling guilty. What this perp "needs" is an electric chair, hopefully with his ex pulling the switch. Matter of fact, the electric chair is too good for this guy, but, I'm sure God will make up for that.

The "expert" CNN had on was just as bad, or worse.
