Cyber intrusion, improvised explosive devices and other forms of mass attacks are at the forefront of the task before the Secret Service today, as it fights to keep up with the technological revolution of the last few decades.
The organization today has a great interest in recruiting college athletes, particularly those who excelled at football and basketball and can learn plays by signs and numbers, says Robinson.
"They're much better athletes, they're much more aware, and because they're constantly training for that failure, and constantly training to avoid that failures...these guys are real protective professionals," he says.
