Yeah, I heard that about sheep. I didn’t know goats did it too. Does that mean the grass won’t grow back?

It grows but very slowly. Goats and sheep eat all the weeds too Cows and horses can be selective. Leaving tall weeds etc in field. You must also rotate fields leaving some to make hay, some to grow and a third to graze.

There are several farm magazines at Tractor Supply and similar stores written just for the hobby - mini farmers. Very informative.

My parents moved to the country when I was five. We ended up with 20 acres
Had cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese. & on an on.
Great way to grow up but a lot of work. 24-7 sometimes.

If not enough food goats and horses will eat bark off tree and kill trees.

Pigs like roots and will kill trees from the bottom. Good way to clear land if you have the time
