Take a 3D tour of North Korea’s nuclear test site, thanks to open source intelligence

Experts suspect North Korea’s sixth nuclear test is coming soon

by Rachel Becker Apr 15, 2017, 8:30am EDT

Rumors have been flying around about the possibility of a North Korean nuclear test, thanks in part to activity at North Korea’s nuclear test site. If it is, this will be the sixth known nuclear test in 11 years — and a clear sign that North Korean arms development is continuing.

Now, because it’s hard to get information in or out of North Korea, it’s not clear that will actually test a nuclear bomb. The next big thing might also be a new missile, or just the opening of a new street.

But enough intelligence experts are worried that a test could happen soon that we should probably take the possibility seriously. Despite the difficulty in figuring out what’s going on within the North Korean border, there are some things we do know. For instance, where the test will likely take place — because each explosion can be seen on the same seismographs used to detect earthquakes. That’s helped analysts locate North Korea’s test site in the far northeast of the country, called Punggye-ri.

Map in the article shows that it looks like a good spot for a lake -- created by 20 or more M.O.A.B.'s.

I like to keep posting that on the Internet, and maybe some folks might influence the INSANE leader of North Korea to beg for mercy from the United States.

Of course, I don't believe this will happen. And it looks like North Korea is going to suffer.

However, I would like to see the US drop food and hope the poor and starving people of North Korea can get to it and hide before NK troops get to it.

I imagine it will only be military in the area of the underground blast, so bombing it should only result in military casualties (I hope).

As a Christian, I pray for peace and pray for people. It is not the fault of the starving people of North Korea that their leader is a lunatic.

Starving innocent children so this LUNATIC leader can have missiles and nukes as toys is my definition of insane and cruel.

Some one posted the true story of a threat by Kim’s mentally ill father to nuke the south. He was told by the US that the first retaliatory nuclear strike would take out all NOKO military bases; the second strike all NOKO cities and; the third everything else that remained.

Lil’ Kimmy must have missed the briefing.

Chinese tour operators have canceled travel packages to North Korea, according to Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post.

The report said Sunday that state-owned China International Travel Services and Ctrip.com International — the biggest tour operators in the country — had halted travel to North Korea.

Air China has also decided to cancel its flight schedules between Beijing and Pyongyang. The airline has carried passengers to North Korea since 2008.

It is also possible that the site is under DDos attack.

It is on IP 108.174.151.226 hosted by https://www.site5.com/d/unmetered-diskspace-and-bandwidth/ and they have unmetered bandwidth, so it should not be down due to high traffic.

As all unlimited bandwidth services actually are limited (site5, has it as well: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1431840 )

It might be DDoS.

They wrote about it in 2014:

Reports in early July 2014 indicate that over the last two years the DPRK has doubled the number of personnel working in its cyber offensive technologies division under the General Reconnaissance Bureau. The North has a number of known units with the two largest believed to be conducting DDoS attacks from Chinese territory.

Office No. 91 is believed to be the headquarters of the cyber division, and is reportedly based in Pyongyang.
Unit 121, forms the bulk of the cadre and has the most advanced capabilities. This unit is presumably tasked with disabling command, control and communications structures in the ROK in case of an armed conflict.
Lab 110, is understood to be responsible for technology reconnaissance and targeting the ROK’s telecommunications infrastructure. This unit was identified as the group of hackers behind the DDoS attacks against the ROK and the US in June 2009.
Unit 35, the smallest of this task force, is responsible for internal investigations and security functions, but also maintains offensive cyber capabilities.
Unit 204 is designated for psychological operations and information warfare.
Offices 31, 32 and 56 form the Command Automation (i.e. hacking) Department under the General Military Staff, and are responsible for developing system penetration programs.

Kimmy will keep on trying to build weapons of high yield, does not matter if the rockets blow up,there us other delivery systems.

But worse yet is science has available the details of planet cracking or Doomsday devices that even if they went sizzle would have worse effects than Chernobyl. FACT.

38north turned into a watering hole for sundry pundits and former Foggy Bottom officials. Since they must have connection to powerful people in D.C., they should ask for additional grant to protect their site from North Korean cyber attacks.

Its not the NORKS nuclear devices i fear, its the other projects they have such as the possibility if creating an uncontrollable black hole or a runaway China Syndrome nuclear accident except it bores right into the core of the planet.

Doomsday devices that go fizzle don’t mean they fizzle small.

Through their stupid ineptitude and misguided fervor, same as Iran, they may accidentally destroy the planet.
This is FACT.

I don't know about the black hole but Fukushima/Chernobyl type nuclear accident could happen in N. Korea. Actually, that is the wildest scenario which can happen in N. Korea.
